The Anglaise style gilt-brass case, glazed with bevelled glass panels, with silvered reeded columns, dentil mouldings and handle centre and with coppered capitols; the white enamel dial signed LEROY & FILS, PARIS, with decorative chapter, Roman numerals and blued steel hands with an Arabic alarm chapter below V1; the two train spring barrel movement sounding the hours and quarters on two gongs, with repeat button surmounted by a top quality silvered platform lever escapement. The three position lever in the base for Silence, Quarters or Grande-Sonnerie selection.
