The oak backed mahogany case with moulded mahogany locking bezel to the square double salt-box with a side and rear door. The 13 inch silvered dial with Roman numerals and Arabic outer five minute numerals signed Robert Wood London with finely cut blued steel hands. The eight-day duration fuseé movement with tapered plates, four knopped pillars and verge escapement.
NOTE: There are two Robert Woods noted as working in London from about 1785 to 1811, one working in Borough.
