The finely engraved gilt-brass ‘gorge’case mounted with Sevres style porcelain side panels depicting the Greek goddesses Athena and Demeter within a cobalt blue border and gilt decoration; the en-suite dial, signed Henry Capt, Geneva, with Roman numerals and blued spade hands with alarm chapter below V1. The two train spring-barrel movement, bearing the mark of Drocourt, sounding the hours and half-hours on a gong, with repeat button, surmounted by a silvered platform lever escapement; the whole sitting on an engraved gilt-brass removable stand.

Case height of clock: 5 ½ inches ( 14 cms).
