
A fine and rare miniature George 111 period table clock.
The mahogany break-arch glazed case with three brass bound pads to the top with central folding handle; with brass mouldings to the arched side panels; brass filled canted corners to the door standing on brass ogee feet under a brass moulded base. The arched dial with gilt spandrels mounted with an enamel dial, signed WILLIAMSON, LONDON, with Roman numerals and outside minutes at five minute intervals, blued steel hands and within the arch an enamel dial for strike/silent selection. The two train chain fuse movement, with verge escapement, sounding the hours on a bell, with repeat, having a well engraved backplate signed Timy. Williamson, London.
