The scroll frame with single train chain fusee and six-spoked wheels surmounted by a substantial platform lever escapement having a silvered shield dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The whole standing on an ebonised base with free standing presentation plaque dated 1864 covered by a glass shade.

Height of movement: 14 ½ inches (37 cms).
Height overall: 19 inches (49 cms).
